TPT Charity Event to Benefit Bad Beat on Cancer
July 20, 2009 in News and Announcements by cprpoker
The Twitter Poker Tour is proud to announce this charity poker event to benefit Bad Beat on Cancer (BBoC). TPT Member Paul Ellis of Pablo’s Place has organized this great event through his hard work for and dedication to the cancer prevention cause.
About Bad Beat on Cancer
The BBoC has raised over 2 million dollars since it first began during the 2003 WSOP. Proceeds from the BBoC’s work, this event included, help fund cancer research programs through the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The BBoC raises money through donations as well as pledges such as the 1% Pledge where pro’s and amateurs alike have committed to donating 1% of their poker winnings for life to Bad Beat on Cancer! The list of pro’s who have taken the pledge include Rafe Furst, Phil Gordon, Andy Block, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth among others. For a full list please visit the BBoC 1% Pledge page.
